Stainless Steel 348H Angles consist of 17–20% chromium, 9–13% nickel, and 0.04–0.10% carbon, stabilized with columbium (niobium) and tantalum. The above composition provides resistance to sensitization when welded and high-temperature exposure. SS 348H provides tensile strength of about 515 MPa and yield strength of about 205 MPa. It maintains mechanical properties in continuous service up to 870°C and provides the best resistance to oxidation, creep, and stress rupture and is therefore suitable for high-temperature environments.
