Stainless Steel 310S Angle is a low-carbon variant of SS 310, consisting mostly of chromium (24–26%) and nickel (19–22%), which provide superior oxidation and corrosion resistance in high-temperature applications. The lower carbon content (max 0.08%) enhances weldability and reduces the possibility of carbide precipitation upon welding. It provides a tensile strength of approximately 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of approximately 40%. SS 310S has satisfactory strength and toughness at cryogenic temperatures and resists scaling and deformation due to prolonged exposure to high temperature.
