Stainless Steel 321 Angle is a titanium-stabilized austenitic stainless steel with about 17–19% chromium, 9–12% nickel, and trace amounts of titanium (at least five times the level of carbon). This prevents precipitation of carbides in welding and high-temperature heating. It provides tensile strength of about 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of 35%. The alloy exhibits excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion, good creep strength, and high-temperature oxidation resistance, and is therefore ideal for long-term service in environments above 427°C.
