Hastelloy B2 Sheets and Plates mainly consist of nickel (around 69%) and molybdenum (28–30%), along with trace amounts of iron, cobalt, and other elements. This alloy is specifically engineered to withstand hydrochloric acid and other highly reducing chemicals. It boasts remarkable resistance to pitting, stress corrosion cracking, and knife-line attack. In terms of mechanical properties, it offers a tensile strength of about 760 MPa, a yield strength of roughly 300 MPa, and good ductility, making it perfect for forming and welding without sacrificing its corrosion-resistant qualities.
