Hastelloy B3 Sheets and Plates are primarily made up of nickel (about 65%) and molybdenum (28.5–30.5%), along with small amounts of iron, cobalt, chromium, and other elements. This unique composition grants them remarkable resistance to hydrochloric acid across all concentrations and temperatures, while also protecting against pitting, stress corrosion cracking, and knife-line attack. On the mechanical side, Hastelloy B3 showcases a tensile strength of around 760 MPa, good ductility, and excellent thermal stability, maintaining its properties even after welding or forming.
