Stainless Steel 317L Angle is a low-carbon variant of 317 stainless steel, consisting predominantly of chromium (18–20%), nickel (11–15%), and molybdenum (3–4%), with the maximum carbon content of 0.03%. This composition provides it with increased resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and general corrosion in acidic conditions. It possesses a tensile strength of about 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of about 35%. Its low carbon content provides good weldability and avoids the risk of intergranular corrosion, particularly in welding or high-temperature applications, and is well-suited for deployment in corrosive and high-stress conditions.
