Stainless Steel 201 Angle is a chromium-nickel-manganese austenitic stainless steel with a composition of about 16–18% chromium, 3.5–5.5% nickel, and 5.5–7.5% manganese. It has a tensile strength of about 520–690 MPa and a yield strength of about 275 MPa. The alloy has good hardness, moderate corrosion resistance, and good formability, as a result of which it is widely used as a substitute for 304 stainless steel in less corrosive applications. Its lower nickel content also makes it an economical choice for non-critical applications.
