Stainless Steel 316L Angle is a low-carbon variant of 316 stainless steel, consisting mainly of 16–18% chromium, 10–14% nickel, and 2–3% molybdenum, with a maximum 0.03% carbon. Its composition increases its pitting and crevice corrosion resistance in chloride environments, and weldability with reduced carbide precipitation during welding. It provides tensile strength of around 485 MPa, yield strength of 170 MPa, and elongation of about 40%. SS 316L is highly tough and corrosion resistant at a broad range of temperatures and is non-magnetic after annealing.
