The Stainless Steel 17-4 PH Sheets and Plates are made up of about 17% chromium, 4% nickel, and 3–5% copper, along with controlled amounts of niobium, manganese, and silicon. These materials boast impressive tensile strength (up to 1310 MPa), yield strength (around 1170 MPa), and good hardness and toughness after heat treatment. They also provide excellent resistance to corrosion, especially in environments containing chlorides, and maintain their strength even at temperatures up to 316°C. The alloy has moderate weldability and good machinability, making it a great choice for parts that require high mechanical integrity and corrosion resistance.
