Stainless Steel 348H Channel is an austenitic stainless steel stabilized alloy made of mostly chromium (17–20%), nickel (8–12%), along with columbium (niobium) as a stabilizing element. It has a slightly higher carbon content compared to regular 348, which is used to improve its creep strength in high-temperature applications. The alloy has tensile strength of about 550 MPa, yield strength of 240 MPa, and elongation of 35%. Bearing superior resistance to corrosion at the intergranular level and superior mechanical strength in high temperatures, Stainless Steel 348H Channel is ideal for pressure vessel construction, chemical processing, and high-temperature service conditions.
