The alloy retains fine corrosion resistance and mechanical properties at higher temperatures up to 870°C. SS 348 has tensile strength of around 515 MPa and yield strength of around 205 MPa. It also possesses very good resistance to oxidation, creep, and stress rupture, and shows good weldability and formability without becoming prone to weld decay.
