Stainless Steel 17-4 PH Channel is a type of precipitation-hardening martensitic stainless steel, made up of about 17% chromium, 4% nickel, and 3–5% copper, along with small amounts of manganese, silicon, and niobium. This alloy showcases remarkable mechanical properties, achieving tensile strength up to 1310 MPa and yield strength around 1170 MPa after heat treatment. It also provides good toughness, moderate weldability, and excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking. The 17-4 PH channels maintain their strength and hardness even at service temperatures reaching up to 316°C, making them suitable for structural applications that experience stress.
