Stainless Steel 17-7 PH Channel is a precipitation-hardened stainless steel alloy made up of iron, 16–18% chromium, 6.5–7.75% nickel, 0.75–1.5% aluminum, and low carbon (≤0.09%). It has superior mechanical properties such as tensile strength of up to 1100 MPa and yield strength of up to 960 MPa following heat treatment (Condition CH900). The alloy has high strength with moderate corrosion resistance and superior fatigue and stress corrosion cracking resistance, and it is therefore appropriate for high-load and cyclic applications.
