Stainless Steel 347H Channels have 17–20% chromium and 9–13% nickel contents, stabilized with niobium (columbium), and with increased carbon content (0.04–0.10%) compared to SS 347. The composition gives resistance to sensitization when welded and has excellent strength at high-temperature service. SS 347H has a tensile strength of around 515 MPa and yield strength of about 205 MPa, along with excellent oxidation and creep resistance up to 870°C.
