Stainless Steel 304 Foils consist of an austenitic stainless steel alloy with 18–20% chromium, 8–10.5% nickel, and up to 0.08% carbon. This alloy provides very good resistance against corrosion, particularly in mildly corrosive conditions, in addition to providing good mechanical strength. Foils of SS 304 possess tensile strength of about 515 MPa and a yield strength of 205 MPa, with very good ductility, weldability, and formability. The foils are light in weight, flexible, and retain their integrity at both low and moderately high temperatures.
