Corten A contains 0.12-0.2% carbon, 0.3% silicon, 0.5% manganese, and 0.2-0.4% phosphorus, while Corten B has similar elements with slightly higher levels of manganese and phosphorus. These steels develop a protective oxide layer when exposed to the elements, enhancing corrosion resistance. Mechanical properties include tensile strength of 470-700 MPa, yield strength of 355 MPa, and elongation of 22%, offering high strength, durability, and excellent performance in harsh environments.
