Inconel 617 Sheets and Plates consist primarily of nickel (about 44.5–62%), along with large proportions of chromium (20–24%), cobalt (10–15%), and molybdenum (8–10%), and include iron and minor elements such as aluminum and carbon. This alloy possesses remarkable high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance. It is mechanically characterized by tensile strength of as high as 690 MPa, yield strength of approximately 310 MPa, and fair elongation. Inconel 617 also shows superior structural integrity when subjected to long-term thermal exposure and mechanical loading and thus is perfect for applications in harsh environments like gas turbines and chemical processing facilities.
